Dr. Jan Eijking, a Research Associate and Oxford Martin Fellow at the Changing Global Orders programme, is interested in the history of international organizations and thought. His scholarly work explores the pivotal role of technical experts in shaping and contesting modern international organizations. Within the project, Eijking investigates how early international institutions utilized expertise to address health, economic, and food crises. Recognized for his scholarly contributions, Eijking has received several prestigious awards, including the 2023 International Studies Association’s Barbara W. Tuchman Prize, and he is the host of the Changing Global Orders podcast.
