Marly is a DPhil student in History at Nuffield College, Oxford. During her graduate studies, she accumulated a broad range of work experience, including various research and teaching assistantships at the University of Montreal. She has also been a research intern and a bilingual research assistant for the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, where she contributed to various projects. She helped document exhibits and identified and analysed diverse resources, from oral interviews to archival material and databases, to locate sources. Before starting as a Research Assistant for the Changing Global Orders Programme, she was the Project Assistant for the Canadian Advisory Committee for the Memory of the World’s symposium, supported by the Canadian Commission for UNESCO and the International Council on Archives. This led her to juggle many responsibilities, including working with the Project Leader to plan the symposium's schedule and scope, helping identify potential presenters and participants, managing communications, conducting a literature review and background research, and translating documentation into French and English.
