Professor Patricia Clavin

Professor Patricia Clavin, an historian of international relations at Worcester College, is interested in the dynamics of various shocks and their impact on international institutional capacities.

With a keen interest in analysing the effects of monetary and trade shocks on both national and international institutions and their implications for global order, she has directed her focus toward examining the issue of food security and its intersection with political economy.

While working with different international organizations from late 19th to early 21st centuries, Professor Clavin actively engages in research addressing contemporary global challenges through historical research and collaborative partnerships worldwide.
